Terms of Service

Last updated: 2 October 2026

These terms govern your use of vaultpulse.cloud and the VaultPulse GitHub App (the “Service”), provided by VaultPulse Cloud Systems (“VaultPulse”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or installing the GitHub App you agree to these terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.

1. The Service

VaultPulse backs up GitHub repositories, including Git history, Git LFS objects and repository settings, into an Amazon S3 bucket or Azure Blob Storage container that you own, and lets you restore those snapshots to GitHub. Features may change as we improve the Service.

2. Your account

  • You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account and for the team members you invite.
  • You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live.

3. Your responsibilities

  • You must have the right to back up and restore the repositories you connect.
  • You are responsible for your AWS or Azure account, storage configuration, permissions and credentials, including Azure client-secret expiry and rotation, and any cloud storage, request and data-transfer charges.
  • You should periodically verify that your backups are complete and restorable.
  • You must not use the Service to break the law, infringe others' rights, or attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer or gain unauthorised access to the Service.

4. Your content

You retain all rights to your repositories and backups. You grant us only the limited permission needed to access, copy and transfer your content to provide the Service. Snapshots are stored in your own S3 bucket or Azure Blob container; we do not retain copies of your code. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Plans, billing and cancellation

  • The Free plan covers one personal GitHub account. Paid plans (Growth and Unlimited) are billed yearly or monthly in advance in GBP through Stripe, according to the billing interval you select.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.
  • Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
  • If you exceed your plan's limits or a paid plan lapses, connections beyond the limit are paused until you upgrade or remove connections.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next billing period.

6. Third-party services

The Service relies on GitHub, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure when chosen for storage, Stripe and Google. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or actions.

7. Availability and disclaimer

We work hard to keep the Service reliable, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that every backup or restore will succeed or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Backups depend on GitHub, your chosen storage provider and your own configuration, which are outside our control.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VaultPulse is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits or business. Our total liability arising from the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and uninstall the GitHub App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or if required by law. On termination, scheduled backups stop; snapshots already in your S3 bucket or Azure Blob container remain yours.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and notify account holders of material changes by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
